| Courier / express | 1 m³ = 200 kg (cm³ ÷ 5,000) | ||

| Road groupage | 1 m³ = 333 kg |
How it's worked out
- Volume per piece: L × W × H (cm) ÷ 1,000,000 = m³. For inches: L × W × H (in) × 0.000016387 = m³. Multiply by quantity and add up the rows.
- Cubic feet: m³ × 35.3147.
- Gross weight: weight each × qty, added up. 1 lb = 0.45359 kg.
- Air: volumetric kg = total cm³ ÷ 6,000. Chargeable = the greater of gross and volumetric. Airlines usually round up to the next 0.5 kg, so the tool shows that rounded figure too.
- Courier: total cm³ ÷ 5,000. Some express networks use other divisors, so check yours.
- Sea LCL: revenue tonnes (RT) = the greater of m³ and gross tonnes (1 m³ = 1 t). Most LCL tariffs have a minimum of 1 RT, so the tool flags when your shipment is below it.
- Road: volumetric kg = m³ × 333 (the common European groupage ratio). Some hauliers use loading metres instead.
